UCI Student Center Smoke Free

The 18-24 year old population is the highest risk group for tobacco use. Consistent and prolonged tobacco use is detrimental to health, but even ocassional tobacco use can lead to health risks. The Health Education Center is committed to preventing tobacco use among UCI students to keep students healthy while in pursuit of higher education.

A professional health educator is available to provide the following:

  • one-on-one quit coaching for students interested in quitting tobacco
  • tobacco education workshops on smoking and hookah
  • consultation on tobacco/smoking policy issues/concerns

Tobacco education materials are also available to students and campus groups/organizations to aid in program development. Free quit kits are available for students interested in quitting tobacco or for students interested in encouraging a friend to quit tobacco.

For more information, please contact the Health Education Center at 949.824.9355 and speak with the Tobacco Programs Manager, Jasmine A. Blackburn.
